Are uk turbo and import exhausts different?

I bought a cat back system today because the one i have is to loud for the neibours! And when i went to fit it nothing lined up and all the flanges were smaller than mine (standerd all the way through bar stupid back box) wen i say nothing lined up it was all lining up fine but the flange holes were in diferent places and the center section was about an inch too short and the flange that the dohnut gasket or wat ever its called was much smaller in diamiter than the standerd exhaust now ive been told the system came of a uk turbo 2000 can anyone shed some light on this i have a 1994 wrx import are the exhausts different any info would be brilliant.

No they are the same - uk and import that is.

Maybe what you've bought is part of a bigger system. Maybe it should have included the downpipe?

cheers for the reply it must be a full system then and im missing the downpipe? even tho its a 2.5 inch same as standard? the flanges are all smaller.

you sure you got the centre the right way round ? if you swap ends, I think the holes are in different places to stop you getting it round the wrong way.
Stupid thing to point out i know, but we've all done a silly at times lol

it was deffinatly the right way round as all the lugs were more unless lined up and both ends are different fittings so cant go round the other way cheers anyway mate.
