that is gash:sadnod: those front arches are hideous on that

Anger 27-10-2011 01:28 PM

Once again i'll say that Subaru have dropped Impreza from the sports range... With STi being the sports car and no WRX's anymore... So these have nothing to do with what we would buy... Im starting to sound like a broken record pmsl

Lucky 27-10-2011 01:42 PM

James is absolutely right. Impreza, no longer means IMPREZA! anymore. The sporting subarus will now be differently badged ie. STI or something. Quite why they have done it I done know.

Nige 27-10-2011 02:09 PM

Ha!Ha! WTF is that? As I've said before the name Impreza stopped with the Hawk. I'm sure the STI will look better..................... I mean it just can't get any worse....can it?
The Toyota / Subaru plan still looks the best way forward. It's quite obvious Subaru don't pay there design people enough.

Sorry Keith, I find it really hard to look at it closly , I had one eye shut and the other half shut and it still looked bad :boom:

I agree with Subaru's decision to make the base Impreza and STi two properly different cars, but I do think its a mistake leaving the Impreza name attached to the non-perfomance car.

As James said though this has nothing to do with the Scoobs that the vast majority of us will be interested in, so seeing the styling (fail) here doesn't overly concern me.

I'll be looking at the final look of the BRZ with interest when that is unveiled; given its a small coupe the styling of that might give some hints as to what we can expect from the forthcoming, more compact, STI.

Yeah, thats a good point. I guess - to me anyway - the GT-R was a seperate "brand" long before the Skyline and GT-R lines went their seperate ways, so the Skyline name continuing to appear on bland four doors doesn't bother me as much. Although the STi/STI is synonymous with Subaru it strikes me as a logo that appears on Scoobs rather than signifying a completely different car (if that makes sense).

Still, thats just my opinion, I guess others may view the branding differently! :)
