K&N

Folks I've just bought myself a k &n 57i induction kit (got it very cheap) but just had a horrible thought that maybe its an oiled type filter. I've been on a few sites some of which say it is, some say it isn't. Which is it and am I gonna knacker my engine if it is?

I thought all K&N's were oiled. Might be wrong.
I had one on my classic for about 5 yrs and had no issues at all.

I allways thought every k&n was an oiled filter, Not sure about knackering your engine though, some of my mates have had oil filters and have been fine, others have had some major problems inc a head gasket go :-(

I think the issues were due to the oil mist knackering MAFs, not sure how frequent it was a problem tho.

its a potential problem with FOAM type oiled filters not the cotton style that K&N, Green, etc. use............
