Gavsti555 07-02-2012 11:14 PM

Juppy 08-02-2012 12:31 AM

Skullfudge 08-02-2012 12:37 AM

I know that car. The original owner sold it 2/3 years ago.

Not my cup of tea. Too much going on.

fieldy 08-02-2012 06:54 AM

munk 08-02-2012 07:14 AM

worzel 08-02-2012 08:26 AM

Not my finely handled bone china receptacle of Darjeeling infused hot water.

What what what!!!

Tomma 08-02-2012 10:24 AM

Like the engine bay..... not a fan of the colour or general look of the car

andy-m 08-02-2012 10:33 AM

i just got sick up the back of my nose :|

tbtstt 08-02-2012 11:01 AM

Incredible spec list and looks like a "proper" build, but not my cup of tea either.

If we're buying expensive Imprezas then I'd rather save a few more quid and buy this:

That S5 is lovely, but I would be hard pushed to look past that Gobstopper Replica at RCM, owned by an Icelander who paid £250,000 on the build and would now take £60k for it. Only done two days on the pod in all of it's short life.

Lazadude 08-02-2012 11:15 AM

Proves money cant buy you style....

And you could of got 10% discount which RCM were offering when we were up there lol

Granby 08-02-2012 11:21 AM

I'm interested what is it that people don't like about it, is it the bodykit which could be changed back to standard i think quite easy, or the colour maybe, i reckon give that a less in your face paint job and it would look the business, either way your still getting a lot of car for the money

andy-m 08-02-2012 11:23 AM

yeah, dont like the body kit. The colour i think would look better on a chaved up corsa.
also dont like the bucket seats. engine bay looks nice

Granby 08-02-2012 11:24 AM

You don't like Bride buckets tut tut tut lol

He paid £250 to build it and wants 60K for it? He's having a laugh isn't he? :p

Anyone happen to get any pictures or seen any details online for this replica? Guess its impossible to say unless I actually had the money in my hand, though, purely for the history and historical significance I think I'd lean towards the S5...

...I'll wait until I see some details on the Gobstopper replica before I commit to my (hypothetical) decision above though!

...its a Gobstopper replica that floats?! Awesome!

tbtstt 08-02-2012 12:25 PM

Oh, this car?...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZxr_ksHvD0

...I was expecting something GC8 based! Seen a few videos of this Blob before, no question its quick but, despite the huge cost involved its not a Gobstopper replica in my eyes (if this is the car in question).

My (fictional) money is staying on the S5!

Anger 08-02-2012 12:27 PM

Have to say that does looks properly awesome...

...but I'm a sucker for a beaten up rally car. S5 is still getting my Monopoly money! :D

Anger 08-02-2012 12:54 PM

It has to be seen with its carbon/Kevlar wheels

Agreed, they are something else. :ok:

It's a stunning bit of kit.

AndyWRX 08-02-2012 04:05 PM

Saw this a few years ago at trax, or one of the car shows, not really my cup of tea but alot of works gone into it

Justin 09-02-2012 06:49 PM

Child seat and a harness bar, what a ****

asperformance 09-02-2012 07:44 PM

SpecB 10-02-2012 07:22 AM

Vile.

wrx sti 320bhp 22-02-2012 08:44 PM

that is lovely i would have no stickers and wrap the roof carbon fibre effect then it would look really sweet.
