Will it work without the engine running? The amount of time my car spends parked up waiting to be fixed, it'd be nice to at least have something which makes it sound like it works! ;)

Well I for one am getting one, I will find a way to wire it to my mountain bike and my commute to work will be a turbo frenzy.
