Taken the dump valve off and wow :)

For some time no my car ( 94 wrx ) has felt quite flat like somthing was holding it back and didnt like coming on to boost I've tryed different sensors done multiple checks and nothing :s i had missed the most obvious thing my dv took it off and it's running spot on but will I be ok running with no dv in place? As I do not have the oem one! Cheers

if you're running a TD05, i believe it's supposed to be ok.
I think a TD05 is standard on a 94 WRX saloon.

Yea tdo5 I've herd that before just want to make sure really? I have read quite a thew post about dv's not being any good anybody else had problems on here?

if your not running any dump valve you gonna be getting some turbo spool, again ive hear the TD05's can take it but also on the other hand that it cant be any good no matter what turbo you have.

Depends on the use. I ran without a DV for one season of sprints on a TD05-20g, when I sent it off to be changed for a billet wheel the bearing had failed and the compressor wheel was eating into the cover!! I now run a turbosmart DV.

IMO get a decent DV irrespective of what turbo you run

as above for a road car its a no-brainer IMO to run one

most likley your original one has failed in some way hence the improvement when you have taken it off
