I know a couple of people who were in the crowd on that jump, the scoob had to retire with too much damage (wheels and suspension) and pretty sure either the driver or co-driver (can't remember which) damaged his back pretty badly too.

Sure is

Did a quick google on it, it was the 2007 Jim Clark Rally, the scoob was on the limiter over the jump (estimated 136mph).

Both drivers were winded and the shock absorbers burst which caused a fire (i guess on the hot brake components) and the rear of the car was bent about six inches out of shape! Strut braces bent too (so we can imagine what damage the chassis had...)

This is the video taken by one of the people i knew on the jump (some of you may know her as Scoobychick, used to be an Admin over on scoobynet):

And if we've got a scoob broken on a big jump, its only fair that we all watch an evo getting ruined too :D

Ha, you beat me to it Steve, with both the identity of the Scoob and Saluk throwing his Evo down the road!

Mental video, but that Impreza WRC is going to need seem serious work!
