Scam phone call...
 

Just got a phone call to my home number from a "INTERNATIONAL" ching-lish/Indian speaking woman who was struggling to say that she was "from calling from Microsoft Support".. :doh:

Apparently "my computer have internet contracted virus" :whistle:

After I finished laughing at her, and she refusing to say where she got my number, (as im on preference etc), I asked her to spend the 5p an hour on speaking lessons and hung up.

Just so people are aware, this is obviously a scam and Microsoft will NEVER call you. Ever.

Ah, my computer have contracted the same internets virus as your has as they kindly called me about it as well. I played along for a few mins to see what they would actually say to convince you of a problem only the person I was speaking to had evidently only seen a computer once before in their life and didn't have the first clue what they were talking about. Its worrying but evidently they pull it off from time to time otherwise they wouldn't still be trying it.

Sadly it does work. I have a friend in his 70s who received a call and got sucked into allowing them into his system. He was uncomfortable doing it, but was too polite - just in case - to say anything while they were on the line. He eventually realised what was going on, so went out and bought a new PC! Destroyed the old hard drive with a hammer.

I ask the person in a fake Polish voice if they are trying to access my home made porn videos and they put the phone down.:norty:

just tell them your name is bill gates lol

Been alot of this recently had a few emails about it!!Unfortunatly... Its seems to be the older generation( not always thou) who seem to get done....
I find chatting utter **** to them for a while works wonders! Had them hanging up on me!!:yeah:
