3: Euro's and debit / credit cards (inform bank that you are away for safety)

8: Big bag of cash. Euros.

Good call Steve, we didn't and the roads between the port at dunkirk and the E40 have all changed, my Tom Tom was completely lost and we ended up just getting lucky following road signs.
