I now have my filming equipment

I now have my filming equipment.

3 HD camera's to include the new GoPro HD2 - AVCHD JVC and The Oredon Scientific.

I opted for an external microphone for the GoPro to capture the noise correctly as tests indicate the final footage will be much better opposed to the internal mike that is standard with the new GoPro.

I have 2 more GoPro HD2 camera's to buy for P2 as we will be running a 3 way Tri GPS filming setup but will be buying those later on.

I have been out doing some test runs and the results have been awesome.

I now just need the weather to brighten up and will be out putting the P1 through it's paces with all cameras running.

Will post up when edited

Top stuff mate
Looking forward to seeing some footage.

Would you like me to do a sound test on the external mike :fart::fart::fart:

Granby 08-06-2012 12:47 PM

Some bits look familiar lol, what external mic are you using as thinking of getting one to get rid of the wind noise

LOL it's a good mike but not built & designed for that volume of noise !

I looked at 3 Gramps and the one sold at Dogcam proved the best results

I must say that dealing with Dogcam.co.uk is an awesome outfit.

Order something and it's in your house the next day every time.

Very good service

Very nice set up mate :ok:

Glad to see you have gone for the Manfrotto suction hubs. They are the best you can buy.

Although the Fat Gecko stuff is a pretty good number 2 choice too.

worzel 08-06-2012 02:09 PM

Thanks for posting mate, It reminded me that I needed to get some bits.

Another Fat Gecko

And a couple more GoPro mounts ( which you may need Clive? )

I don't trust those small suction cups for some reason.

The Hague is a different story but knowing what comes lose on my P1 when ragging I can see those regular black cups falling off ??

You may of seen this site but it sure does have a good selection of mounting equipment (cheers Gramps)

+1 for the Fat gecko, never had any problems with mine

phil1981 09-06-2012 03:20 PM

Have you seen these Clive:

Replayxd

There a lot more compact than the go pros and you lose a lot of the wide angle doming you get with the go pros

I really like the look of the Contour + as you get GPS out of the box will be getting a setup for mine when finds allow and I'm tracking enough to warrant it!

Cheers for the info chaps.

I looked at many cameras but opted for GoPro. If the BBC use them they have got to be good. :)

Will be checking out the Fat products too
