Advice removing rear coil overs

Thinking of taking off the rear ast's and sending them to power station for a rebuild......any advice taking them off?

Do the springs need compressing first with camps?

Springs dont need compressing mate.
Remove rear seat, undo strut top mount nuts
Remove wheel, undo and remove the two bolts holding the strut to the hub.
Undo ARB and push down on hub , hey presto .

Well that's how I do my classic ones.

It's a doddle mate

Make sure you give the the nuts at the bottom a good spray of penetrating spray and let it do its stuff before you try and release them.
(do you know how hard it was to make that sentence not sound rude)

Is that the same as:

Use plenty of spray oil round your nuts and give it time to work for good deep penetration.

Which will make much easier to loosen your nuts, for removal
