British Rallycross Round 1, Lydden Hill - Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th March
 

The 2012 British Rallycross Championship kicks off with Round 1 at Lydden Hill on the weekend of 16th/17th March. Its looking to be a great opener to the season as there are already loads of cars signed up in the various classes, including a number of drivers from Belgium.

If you haven't been to Lydden before then its a great circuit to watch as you can pretty much see the whole circuit from any point on the track. Its just down the road from Dover; so to get there is only a quick blast down the M2 or M20 for most South East folks! :doubleup:

Saturday will include a couple of rounds of heats, with the last of the heats and the all important finals on the Sunday. Racing is normally finished by 4 so, even if its busy, you should get out of the circuit pretty quickly. So no long crawl home afterwards!

I'm definately going Sunday (and quite likely Saturday as well), so if anyone fancies meeting at Clacketts and convoying down to Lydden then add your name to the thread! :)

Saturday 16 March 2013:
Signing on and Scrutineering: 07:00
(Any driver not signed on by 10:00 may be excluded.)
Mandatory Drivers briefing 10.00 at the scrutineering bay
Practice starts 10:30
Timed Practice Immediately after Practice
Heat 1 start Immediately after Timed Practice
Heat 2 start Will follow heat 1 immediately

Sunday 17 March 2013:
Heat 3 Start 12:00
Finals Will follow completion of Heat 3

Why is saturday more expensive then Sunday ?
Is nothing happening on Sunday before 12:00 ?

More races on the Saturday than the Sunday (though the best races will be the finals on Sunday)...

....no, they are limited to running time on Sundays (noise restriction); so they don't start until 12. :)
