Prodrive Springs

Looking to lower my car a little bit (not crazy low), am i right in thinking that prodrive springs will do this???

Also if I did get Prodrive springs would Hawkeye sti ones fit a wide arch Blob??

Thanks in advance guys
Sam

Get yourself a set of tein s-tech springs, they drop the car just enough for a better look but you can still clear those centred speed humps and still have a nice bit of ride comfort.

Ah yes, but anything with Prodrive on adds at least 10bhp. FACT. ;-)

I've got a prodrive sticker which goes on my forehead when i drive!! This gives me an extra 20 bhp straight away (the extra 10 is because i look so cool) :yeah:

Thanks Rich. Ill look into the tein s-tech ones, there's some big speed humps where i live, so i think anything lowering more than 25mm might cause an issue lol.

I went with the Prodrive springs as they were having a clear out at scoobyclinic and they were on offer. Big improvement over STI springs but not too harsh either.

Go for Teins's...and you will struggle to find Prodrives for the Widetrack (Blob and Hawk use the same springs).

I had OE, Prodrive and Teins on my STi Hawk
The OE were very bouncy and harsh and gave a bit of moob/boob jiggle.
The prodrives were alot better but didn't seem to lower much. They did stop the moob jiggle but thankfully retained the boob jiggle.

The Teins felt exactly the same as the Prodrives but lowered it just how I wanted it.

Tein Springs :
They dropped an extra 14mm front, 20mm rear from the Prdorives

Oh!... and if you like the above wheels, speak to Didz as he bought them and I think still has them for sale ;)
I loved the wheel shame they won't fit a classic

Eibach made the Prodrive set-ups but currently they have no intention to remake anytime soon............

Thanks Scott very much appreciated. Just the comparison I was after.

By looking at your pictures i think the teins look spot on! so shall go for them and it would be good to lose the moob wobble lol.

bonner 21-03-2013 07:53 AM

hi sam can you remember what the drop was on your previous wrx??

SamSTI 21-03-2013 08:49 AM

I think it was 30mm at the rear, i can't remember what the front was though.

with a front splitter on it was very low, most speed bumps was a no no lol

bonner 21-03-2013 10:30 AM

looks spot on! sits perfect not sure wether to get springs or coilovers??

SamSTI 21-03-2013 10:58 AM

I think it depends on what you want out of the car! track days etc and also how deep your pockets are lol

bonner 21-03-2013 09:13 PM

ideally low! wont be seeing any trackdays as of yet but wouldnt mind a track setup without the worrie of humps lol as you know the standard setup is boatie as hell, ideally low and stiff is what im after!

SamSTI 21-03-2013 09:33 PM

I would of thought springs should do the trick then matey!!

I just googled the Tein springs and they lower the newage wrx 34mm at the front and 25mm at the rear.

bonner 21-03-2013 09:57 PM

good stuff!! il look into it!! goin to have to work out a tyre setup with how low i go as wheels poke out the arches either that or do the camber
