Goodwood FOS - Saturday SOLD OUT

Vulcan is flying on Saturday, so that decided for me which day to go.
BUT Saturday is SOLD OUT already.......bugger.....

Bolesroor 18-06-2013 08:35 PM

Sold out! Oh *ugger was planning to go on the Saturday :sadnod:

SamSTI 18-06-2013 08:41 PM

lol yep, wanted to book tickets for Saturday last night, no joy!! Went for Sunday in the end.

Scott.T 18-06-2013 08:43 PM

Yep, probably going to do Sunday as well...actually hovering over the payment icon now plucking up courage to spend £57 when you can't buy the weather for the day.

Steve_PPP 18-06-2013 08:46 PM

Won't be going this year as need to keep an eye on the pennies at the moment, unless I land a couple of free tickets for the moving motor show as I have done in previous years....

edit/ any good spots to watch the vulcan from for free?

Scott.T 18-06-2013 08:49 PM

A little bit of my day-job will be in the air over Goodwood on the Sunday as the Typhoon is displaying : http://www.raf.mod.uk/typhoondisplay/displayprogramme/

SamSTI 18-06-2013 08:52 PM

Ha Ha, I know what you mean Scott, this is my first time going and I was a bit shocked at the prices. I'm just glad my other half's 21.:norty:

You'll love it.
I can't actually remember the first year I went I think it was about 6+ years ago. I've been every year since..........it's a bit of pilgrimage.

munk 18-06-2013 09:12 PM

lucky i got in there a few weeks back then....do love the fos and vulcan is a bonus!! for me well worth the ticket price.

Banstead Stig 18-06-2013 09:13 PM

I can proudly boast to have been to eighteen of nineteen and I am going again this year. I got in for free the first year, as I was eleven!

The only year I missed was the year the chap was killed.

Good stuff!! I can't wait. Hopefully the weather will be good.

Red Baron 02-07-2013 07:45 PM

Has anyone got their tickets yet, ordered my Friday ticket last week and no sign of it yet.
I guess they're probably trying to stop them appearing on eBay for inflated prices if they've sold out.

SamSTI 02-07-2013 07:49 PM

I've received my Sunday ticket a couple of days ago but i did order them a few weeks back tho.

C. J. 02-07-2013 07:50 PM

Got my Friday tickets on Saturday while I was there :D

Banstead Stig 02-07-2013 07:55 PM

Ours took about a week. I shouldn't worry just yet.

ScoobyStu 02-07-2013 09:16 PM

Would love to have gone to this but surprise surprise......I'm working!

Mortster 02-07-2013 09:23 PM

Those that are going are more than welcome to pop into mine, seeing as some off you might actually pass my gaff on the way. :-)

Beer/Wine/Coffee/Tea all available

tbtstt 03-07-2013 08:49 AM

Kicking myself for not ordering tickets sooner as I wanted to do two days this year. Will have to make do with just Sunday!

Red Baron 03-07-2013 09:24 AM

I'll give it till the weekend and then chase them if it hasn't turned up. I may have a funeral to go to yet so if that falls on Friday 12th I'll be offering my ticket at a reduced price.

Shane

Mine arrived for Sunday just yesterday, and we ordered them a couple of weeks ago - Saturday was full even then. Cant wait...

J.

Red Baron 04-07-2013 02:22 PM

Mine turned up yesterday as well, just hope I can make it now.

Hallsy 07-07-2013 09:21 AM

Not been too FoS before, the past couple of times I wanted to go it was too close to the Le Mans trip fot me.

For thoee that have been before, is it a good day out?

A guy at work went last year and said it felt over crowded for the cost of tickets?

Steve_PPP 07-07-2013 09:45 AM

Its probably the best event you could ever attend in the UK if you're a petrolhead.

Get there by 8am, you'll still have not seen it all at 6pm. Yes it gets crowded but its bloody superb :ok:

What did he want, higher ticket prices to drive down demand? It's crowded because it is popular. It is popular because it is a great day out.

I have never found the volume of people prohibitive to seeing what I wanted. As Steve said, there's so much to see and do you need more than a day really.

C. J. 07-07-2013 04:27 PM

Anyone else booked to go surfing on the Peugeot stand :)

Hallsy 07-07-2013 08:34 PM

Cool, sounds worthwhile then.

The guy goes to quite a few car shows which is why I asked him. He is old and miserable though!!

Always fancied going anyway, so maybe I'll see if I can get a couple of tickets for the Sunday!

Scooby_Greg 07-07-2013 08:41 PM

If anyone wants to go to Revival the Saturday tickets have almost sold out

Scott.T 07-07-2013 09:23 PM

Going Sunday

The Handbrake 07-07-2013 09:57 PM

Love FOS. I ran around last year getting autographs for my Daughter as she was too shy until I got suddenly grabbed hugged and kissed by a racing driver as he thought I was the wife of an old man taking a picture!. I was half his age! hehehe. My Daughter nr died of laughing and embarrassment (crazy mum!).

Lots of people but lots of fun to be had. (going Saturday)

Ginola 07-07-2013 10:04 PM

lol you got your pic taken and kiss with http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/image...mbrosio466.jpg Then test driver for Renault, Jerome D'Ambrosio ;)

Who else is going to FOS on Saturday?

Hallsy 08-07-2013 08:22 PM

Sunday sold out as well now. Oh well, there's always next year, lol!

Scooby_Greg 08-07-2013 08:39 PM

Going to the moving motor show on Thursday as get free tickets - wonder if I'll bump into the PPP's this year?!

Going to Revival on the Saturday. Love both events but the Revival wins it for me as the racing is fantastic and I love some of the classics. Also enjoy the old planes with spits, hurricanes etc up in the air for most of the day

Not this year Greg, we're giving it a miss for once. Been to either the moving motor show or the FOS on the Friday for the last 3 or 4 years but short of holiday in the new job and saving whats left for house move mainly.

Will be back next year i'm sure :)
