Non ABS

I thought the ABS had been just brutally removed, but on closer inspection today, it seems its a R with no ABS.

1. Is that right?

2. Ballache to put some in?

I don't have either , once you have driven a couple of days on track it's better with out :)

I'd go with CJ's advice, if you're building it up to use as a toy (and keeping the bug for daily use) then i'd leave it without ABS

Yep no abs i think its because the abs interfered with the dccd.

Defo leave as is !!

classic Type-R and STI RA had no ABS as std although it was a factory option (as were electric pack/air-con/etc.)

ABS is disabled in my wagon. the only thing I will say is be careful when your tyre wear is at 50% in heavy rain. the inside edge of the tyre wears faster than the rest on my front due to camber angle, which means when I took a quick glance at the tyres from the outside like I often do, tyre wear looked to be almost nothing at all. then braking on a motorway off ramp in very heavy rain, I kept locking up so I checked the tyre wear and the very inner edge was only just legal and the cause of the lockup.
A lesson best not to learn the hard way
