sort of newbie

Hi everyone, thought I'd better re-introduce myself - been on here for a while but never had much to say really. The name's Ken and I'm from Hailsham. I have a silver Bug eye 2001 which I've had for a couple of years now. I had planned to keep it standard but just couldn't keep up with the quietness of it any longer. Sussex potholes have forced me to upgrade the wheels - they're now Team Dynamics black with Proxes on them. Exhaust is now a Ninja 2 - sounds much better and has 'cured' the cars hesitancy at low revs. No other mods yet but I'll be looking to upgrade up and down pipes to lose the cats, a remap and better induction - when finances allow. Will probably get a nice triple-pod and gauges as well.

Ken

Thanks guys. Sounds like you've been busy with your bug Martin. Have you noticed any engine temperature increase after your remap?

Hi Ken no I have not noticed any engine temperature increase since having my remap done nearly 1 year ago.

ken_f 29-06-2013 10:00 PM

If you don't mind me asking, what remap was it and who did you get to do it? I see Scoobyworld do an Ecutek (but they're quite a distance from me) and I know John and Stuart from Berwick do remaps and they're fairly local and done some good work for me already.

I sometimes see a silver classic (I think) by Cacklebury stores but can't remember a blue one, but that could be down to old age and Alzheimers :-)

RCS2810 29-06-2013 10:56 PM

Haha only just put a deposit down on the blue one so you wouldnt of seen me in it yet.

Is that it as your avatar? Looks cool, looking forward to seeing it around

Hello and welcome to SES :-)

As far as a remap goes, I'd look no further than a trip to Surrey rolling road and get it done by Simon aka Jolly Green Monster.

Hi Ken I would assume it was a stage 1 remap I think it was an Ecutek but don't quote me on that LOL, as the car was running the standard 225bhp before the remap it is now running 260bhp, It was done by Neil at Slow boy Racing down near Brands Hatch in Kent I hope that helps you out?

ken_f 10-07-2013 03:40 PM

Thanks Martin. I spoke to Neil at Slow Boy on my way to the "Brands Hatch Summer Wednesday" last week and he gave me some useful advice.
