your views on the bugeye wrx
 

gday all ive possibly found myself a bugeye wrx on a Yplate 2001
I was wondering if those of you that own or have driven one how you rate them
Your opinions will be greatly appreciated

Cant fault mine, had it for almost 5 years now. Used to be a daily driver, doing 70 miles a day, 5 days a week with no issues.

When we had all the snow a few years back and they closed large parts of Kent, took 7 hours but got home fine.

In may this year, drove it to the Swiss alps and back. best drive ever.

I own a 2002 bugeye wrx which I have had for just over a year and I use it daily and I can not fault it excellent Scooby in my opinion I would score it :10:

Prefer build quality of newage but prefer size of the classic now. Bugeyes have ugly front end unless the lights are changed Imho

They make a good road car, as CJ says. I bought mine when i didn't know much about Subaru's if i'm honest - bought it cos it was the right colour and had the PPP pack on (plus i couldn't afford an STI at the time).

6 years later and i've still got it :ok:

Had mine nearly 10 years now so can't be that bad even so there is not much of the original left but that's part of the fun.

And as stated a few sensible mods make them look an awesome car and your right its all part of the fun of owning them making them individual to your own tastes :-)

Yeah I will jump in and echo similar to what folks have said, the bug is a good daily ;) Classic for the fun blasts and the track :)! I do a few hundred plus miles a week in the bug and its a dream!

Bugeyes are great value - they are the same car as the more expensive blobs, barring a facelift.
The std WRX lights do look pants though so best to get a set of STI lenses.

Absolutely there will be several bits i will be chanhing along the way :-)
