all std WRX cars should have ABS, is it an RA, etc.?? have you checked the model code

is there signs of it being removed??

EXEVO3 08-12-2013 07:05 PM

dont think its a RA....theres no signs of ABS its never had it. i thought WRX RAs had black door handles thinner glass no electric windows or mirrors...

Dont know the model codes...what code on the vin am i looking for?? the GC8 code??

if its a normal V2 wrx what should it be??

dont think the car has a very high top speed as the revs are high at 180kph im still yet to convert it to mph....might be wrong but 1st and 2nd gear are very short hence i woundered if the early boxes were closer??

RA's only came in White ( common colour) Red and later in Blue. Under the carpet on the drivers side should be a plug, or plug and ecu for the ABS. That will confirm if its been removed at all.

As for your codes, match you vin up up here to tell you what it is.

EXEVO3 09-12-2013 12:55 AM

ill check for this plug 2mo...but im shore tis car has never had abs.

my code is standard wrx..as i expected...what i did notice is the gear box codes changed every year almost....and the wrx,sti and ra have different codes...so can anyone tell me where the gearbox code is???

its on the passenger side of the gearbox where it bolts on to the engine.
Look down in the gap between the intercooler and your screenwash bottle. there will be a white label with the code on.
