looking at porting my own headers whilst off over crimbo... will they be safe to run once done on a virually standard blob wrx before i get it mapped???

Depends how good the porting job is, my old Harvey ones (with a Samco inlet) gained me around 400rpm earlier spool so it's possible you could lean out over that period and even beyond without them being mapped in.
Might be better to try and get a spare set to port and then swap over nearer the time.

Ah cool bluebug Linda what I was thinking but nice to have it confirmed. Be great if I can shave a little more of spool time come map time
