You should really as it will alter the volume of air in the system post MAF.

Best to yes as you will need to work it harder to spool better and you may be able to run more timing due to better charge cooling.
It will run without but you won't see much of a performance benefit.

If it is not for power,

Would it not be better and cheaper to fit an STI. Intercooler instead of going front mount ?

The same as silversurfer has..?

Just a thought....:five:

It will be for power later on as I want add bits like uprated fuel pump , bigger injectors and full decat from the turbo then get it mapped once its all fitted and I can buy a bumper already cut for a front mount instead of fixing mine as it is the cheaper option but its all to do funds at the moment .

FMIC will also get rid of the turbo heat soak problem of a classic TMIC (Especialy on slanty V1/2 TMIC's), which is why I plan to go FMIC as soon as funds allow.
I spend a lot of time in traffic going through the blackwall tunel on my daily commute so I get heat soak often which leads to boost cut to prevent pinking

I'd have to say it would be best to keep things off boost before you have it mapped with those mods. Or collect them all and then put them on at once before map.
