think my turbos on the way out.....
Turnd the car on after fitting the nur spec then took out for a small drive.
On returning I heard a low grinding noise. Stuck my ear around the engine and it was directly on the turbo. Left it for a few hours, went out and the noise had gone?????? Today it had returned but not as bad. Is there anyone who is experienced can confirm my assumptions before I begin saving for a new turbo followed by a ecu remap etc.........:boom::boom::boom: Or has anyone managed to rebuild their own turbo to extend the life of it????? any ideas, help welcome.........:cry::cry: |
Stick a metal bar or long screwdriver on the exhaust side and listen on the other end. If you can hear a rotary grinding then it's catching on the housing.
That's how we diagnosed Robs. |
Stick a vf43 on it.....

I heard these were too laggy? |
Got vf43 on my bugeye, bit leggy but probably more down to RCM manifold and up pipe. Does give you a kick in the back though when kicks in and I really like it. Easy to drive off boost if you want economy as well.
|
i will admit my vf43 is well laggy, but like said you can drive it just like a normal sport if your not up in the rev range, but the boost is immense its hard not to
|
Ok. That's ok for me really.
When does full boost come in? |
Also what mods, power/tq you getting lads?
