Boost solenoid

Last week I started to hear a clicking noise coming from what I think is the boost solenoid, also the engine light came on and the car started to idle funny as if it was about to cut out for about 20 seconds then picked up again and the light went back out. The light has not come on since, but I'm still getting this annoying clicking noise.

Any ideas or thoughts would be very helpful.

If the engine light came on it would of stored a fault code I'd get it plugged in to a diagnostic and read the code

Thanks mate, I will see if I can find someone with a laptop to plug it into to see what code comes up :ok:
