ABS Light

Sorted everything I think was needed to get my bug back on the road.
Fired it up today, and the ABS light stays on! Grrrr.
How can you tell which sensor is playing up, if it is a sensor.

Pretty sure you'll need to plug in a code reader. Could change each one in turn if you have a spare? Have you driven it? I know with a couple of previous cars they run a self test at 10mph. Not sure if subarus do that too?

I've taken out the fronts and cleaned them. The backs....different story, both nuts are rounded off and wont come out.

I'm about to remove the callipers and disks so I can wipe the fronts of each sensor...

you really need to plug it up that will tell you but failing that i would check the wiring to the sensors some times foxes or mice can chew through the wires

All sorted now

Bod on Surrey found me this

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/how-inst...ion-guide.html

Damn that plug is well hidden, bottom of dash off, fuse box out, alarm moved and there it is....and its tiny.

Got a code 54....which was brake lights, both had blown at the same time?? Replaced and all is fine.

While I had the rear callipers/disks off, noticed that on the rear EBC red pads, one of the pads had broken away from the holder!!!

cool glad you sorted it
