I was thinking of coilovers as my shocks need a refurb looking a bit rusty .

Ginola 08-04-2014 10:34 PM

If you do, don't buy cheap! ;)

scotty 08-04-2014 10:39 PM

Proberly be buying brand new .

I'd go for Perrin drop links, the White line ones will look like they've been lost in the sea for years after being on the car for 5 mins.

And to go with the rear ARB, swap the mounts out for Stout mounts.

With the MOT rules getting a little more strict on Cats, I'd go for a sports cat instead, eliminates the hassle once a year of either swapping it all over, or finding a friendly MOT'er

Thanks Nick I will look online later for the stout mounts and Perrin drop links and think I can find a friendly MOT'er but sports cat would be a good option as well .

autobahn fmic is fine, im running autobahn never caused me any grief, and I know lots others running them aswell

scotty 16-04-2014 11:51 PM

So far I have sourced a set of ph1 440 injectors , FMIC and a td05 16g depending on condition .

Brad Wrx 17-04-2014 10:39 AM

I have a td05 16g in mint condition if you get stuck, looking for £80 plus delivery for it.

Brad

scotty 17-04-2014 11:45 AM

Cheers brad is it front entry and what would the price be delivered .

Brad Wrx 17-04-2014 12:02 PM

no still top entry standard and un touched, I dont have the first clue for delivery to bonny scotland, should imagine not much more than £25 insured.

scotty 17-04-2014 06:12 PM

Can I drive car off boost once I have fitted injectors and FMIC until I get it mapped .

C. J. 17-04-2014 06:19 PM

440's will be fine to run before the remap as the difference between them and the standard 380's isn't massive. The ECU should even be able to just about compensate for idle/cruise situations.
If you were fitting anything larger then 550's then best to leave it until the last minute.

Just don't give it the beans

Brad how many miles has the turbo done mate .

scotty 21-04-2014 09:53 PM

Looks like I'm going to be buying a td05 16g turbo as I can get a hold of a few of them but top entry so it will be going to BRD for front conversion and a refurb at the same time .
