Cleaned and ready for the public car park tomorrow!! :?

Spent half the day on the car, cleaned inside, dusted etc etc, then outside,..

Snowfoam, wash wheels inside and out, wash rest of car (2 bucket method +1 for wheels!), pat dry, dry wheels/shuts and so on.

Swirl removal with poorboys Light scratch removal 1.5

Then clean with carnauba cleaner polish,
and finally Natty's paste wax to finish.

I didnt clay as it has only been 2 months since I last used the clay mitt and the car still had a healthy layer of wax on from the last deep clean.

Results are pretty good! though not sure if its as slippery as the Megs Ultimate Carnuba liquid wax, it definitely has a nice wet looking shine.

Nice job Dave. Will have to try the poor boys scratch removal.

Must also order some zun sports grills!

looks gorgeous - just for info this is the best sealant ive ever come across - FINISHKARE ,, ive never found a better finishing product ,, the shine is truly ridiculous and long lasting - bit labour intensive to apply but in all honesty once its on all I have ever needed is a wash and speed detail to bring a car back to the glorious shine of the day the finishkare went on - you can spot a car that's had this stuff applied across a crowded car park - especially good on metallic , cant wait to get my car up to readiness for having the finishkare touch

Looking Good Dave, although I prefer it on the dark RB320 Alloys.

Steve, you want to get Poor Boys Black Magic for the scoob and then a good sealant.

May try that. Always used black fire on the others which worked well but fancy a change. Black hole glaze?

I will have to give it a try, I kinda like my natural waxes though several of them will last more than 6 months before needing a re-wax

The gunmetal wheels are the optional BBS's from a 330s hatch that where refurbished in that lovely colour. They are a slightly different design, round centre area of wheel and spokes are slightly more evenly spaced than the RB320 (prodrive GT1) rims

I prefer them too but they are shod in 888s for the time being, Wanda has come round to them though and I think we both agree it looks better on them..

Steve I need 2x sets of wheels 1 for dry track and 1 for wet track/road:! :P :D ;)

I might well swap the 888s or what ever the next set of track rubber is, to the gold rims and vis versa, we will have to see. Though I think we will fight a losing battle with Wanda letting me sell them :P

Tart!

Have a good day tomorrow, need to get my Scooby sorted and mapped next week as going to miss rollers otherwise. Still got other cars to take mind.

Banstead Stig 22-06-2014 08:11 AM

Looks good. I do love the whole look of your car.

I waxed mine yesterday, but due to only starting on the car late I didn't finish until 10 pm, so don't have pics of how it came out. First go with Natty's paste, so I'll be interested in how that fairs.

scoobyross 17-07-2014 11:02 PM

That is proper clean!
