STI dial cluster Newage
Hi,
Do all newage STI dial clusters light up red - or is it only certain ones? Are they a straight swap for WRX dials? Thanks, Foz |
Widetrack onwards only I think? Bugeyes and early blobs light up green.

Widetrack and JDM later versions, all others are green.
Can be made red, but its a long job to mod it properly. |
How does it work with mileage while on this topic ? Ie mines at 100k but if i put clocks in showing 80 which miles get displayed and is there an error code that will flash up ?
I have a guy that can adjust mileages but its about £60 so a fair chunk extra to get the mileage put right unless it reads the miles back from the ecu etc which i doubt Id also like a set of sti clocks but mostly for the rev change beep function - is this part built into the clocks and plug and play or is there other electronics associated ? |
Millage would have to be adjusted, if you want your MOTs to look right. it wont throw up any codes, and the shift light works right away, its just a function of the clocks.

having mileage adjusted might kill it for me as mine is full main dealer history and just had cambelt and ancillaries done at Subaru so for resale and just to keep it right it would need to be done or it would look odd for prospective buyers,,, lol ill keep my eyes out for a cheap set with 105k on them :-) |
The red dials are on hawks onwards for UK cars and late blobs for JDM cars. They sweep on start up too. Blobs including wide tracks light up green at night
