Agreed Scott, I think i'd run them on the car for a while and could later get them 'Lepson'd' in a darker colour if I want too.

Personally I don't think they quite suite the widetrack due to the extra width of the car (wheel arch trims), they look a little too in-set.

You just hit the nail on the head. Something is making me holdback when I look at pictures of thm on a widetrack and I think you are right. They do look more pronounced on the earlier blobs. Plus, I know that I have zero patience with these things and wont want to wait before a refurb so adding it all up its going to be knocking on a grand to do it. I think at the moment I may just laquer my current wheels and get on with getting the sports cat and decat pipe on and map sorted .

Ginola 30-08-2014 02:01 PM

You can fit hatch optional wheels to it Steve.. ;) They fill the arches a little bit more with an ever so slightly different offset, and with 8.5j rims and 245s there is no rubbing if you have a little camber and coilovers fitted.. ;)

Dave, I think you have the two ideal upgrade sets for a widetrack. Both the speedlines and the GT1's suit it perfectly.

Ginola 30-08-2014 02:15 PM

These are what I have, old Nasioc thread + the speedlines you know. bought from a fellow member on here ;) not sure what the model is :o

I think they look fine on the widetrack, I never had anyone tell me that mine looked to in-set.

Sti mayhew 31-08-2014 02:37 PM

Mr luck did you buy these?

Scott.T 31-08-2014 05:16 PM

GT1'S come up quite often and are quite unique on a blob.

Ginola 31-08-2014 08:52 PM

There is a set of v nice wheels on swap shop atm (Facebook)

Lucky 01-09-2014 09:02 PM

Well, after thinking about it for a while ( and booking a holiday in Cyprus lol) I decided to not to buy them. Can't really justify the expense at the moment and I still really like the standard sti rims so set about refurbing and laquering them today. Really pleased with the way they look now. Not a massive amount of difference from before but they now have more of a satin finish and bit of a shine.
