Boost solenoid
 

Hi all,

About to buy a turbosmart 3 port boost solenoid but wanted to check, do I need anything else to go with? Assuming my car as standard has a two port etc??

This is a future purchase for when I get mapped.

Just looking at doing the same, I think plug on end is different if it has one, but remap after fitting.

Plug is diff??? Says it fits 2001-2007? Guy selling on scooby net and part no is ts-0301-3003...

Is it gonna fit? Help! Ha ha

Fitting a 3 port is a bit of a myth.
If your mapper is worth the ££££'s you give him he should be able to work with the standard 2 port especially on newage which have very good boost control maps and tolerances.

Ahhhh....not to worry guys, I appreciate the msgs...I'm just impulsive...thought it would help when I eventually get mapped...just starting to buy parts if they come up for offer etc...

If don't need it in future then guess I'll put up for sale and someone else will get bargain :-)

Just an after thought - Im guessing it doesn't have to be a Turbosmart Boost controller to go with it?

Any ideas on good / bad boost controllers?

You don't need a boost controller.
The standard ECU can do that a lot better then any after market boost controller.

so standard ECU, and 3 port boost solenoid I got cheap yest, and I should be good to go in that dept. then?

Yup but 2 port would of been fine.

Yep...my bad on that...thought was good deal and would have improved things in future...
