76 f1 gp

I know I'm well behind on this, but what the heck,
Finally this week watched the film "RUSH" and have fallen in love with it,
Now sat and watched loads of YouTube clios of hunt and lauda , what a epic lot of racing and politics, with all the bans and of circuit banter,
And the cars are awesome love the guy who thought bollox that's make a 6wheel f1 car lol

Please bear in mind im only 27 so was way way before so only come on my radar fully after the film

I liked the film but haven't looked at any footage of actual races.
it did look like quite interesting times.
And so different in terms of driver safety!

Ken Tyrell's family trust used to be a client of mine some years ago.

One of his six wheelers was at the Shere hillclimb recently. They're still amazing to see. Totally nuts!

I really enjoyed Rush, despite the theatrics and artistic licence I thought it was excellent.

That was a bonkers era in motor racing.

It was a great era. Saw my first F1 race at Brands in 1974, when we used to get 2 races a year over here. You could watch the race then wander over to the pits to have a look at the cars and chat to the drivers, most of whom would just wander around with the rest of us. Hunt was always surrounded bya bevy of beauties!
The memory of Woodcote flat out before the chicanes will always be with me.
