Strange Issue with my Lights!

So I noticed this weird problem a few days ago but thought it was a one off but I'm now able to replicate the issue all the time.

If I turn off the car with the lights still on (something I'm used to with my old Mondeo as it had Automatic headlights) then later I come back to the car and start her up - the lights will come on as they should (they are turning off obviously when the car is off) but the Rear fog light comes on as well.

Even though it was definitely off before i turned the car off.

I know its a bit of a non-issue but it is annoying! lol

Any Ideas?

:sos:

That is really odd, does the fog switch have any effect?

not sure the fog is relayed or not, time to pull a wiring diagram out!

Well the previous owner had set the rear demister to activate the anti-lag mode - an option that I've kept on the car.

The fog lights do come on when i turn them on via the switch.

I dont know if the demister will still come on!

I guess I can call Duncan who has a copy of my map and ask him if there's anything tied to it? lol

I Don't think you can tie anything to the fog light switch in the MAP, it is not an ECU requirement to monitor it, it will most likely be just a relay issue.

I would take a look at a diagram or the manual to work out which relay it was
