There's something about a Porsche Singer.............

That really appeals........not sure what it is, perhaps it's just the whole retro-package :

Lovely isn't it. A bit like the Eagle speedster.

I was only thinking the other day, someone needs to come up with a factory that can replicate old classics with more modern internals. A bit like they are doing with these and Jensons etc, but with more 'everyday' marques.

Imagine being able to order a new Mk 1 RS2000/Mexico or a new dolly sprint, citreon ds, new WRX STI Type R for that matter. The list is endless. I for one would go that route rather than a new box.

Hmmm...Mk1 RS2000/Mexico with a set of AP's, Recaro CS Interior and an E46 BMW M3 engine with CSL Induction Kit.........Oh Yes........

I was thinking more along the lines of an Austin Princess with a Prius unit in it, but each to there own

I think both Top Gear and 5th Gear did reports/drives with a few cars from Singer, certainly agree there is an appeal for a modern take on a classic car. Love the idea of the Dolly Sprint, remember my granddad's one from when I was a kid!

Great car but I'd have an eagle!

I'll see your singer and raise it an Eagle low Drag GT.

Another stunning car and I'd like one of each, but the looks of the singer 911 just edge it for me.

That's just trying too hard to be retro and modern at the same time.

I want Singer but there are a few companies in the UK that can do something like this as well - maybe not to the extremes that Singer do, but still.

I can just imagine blasting up the Col Du Turini on a sunny summer evening in a stripped out 964 on throttle bodies....motoring heaven!
