Doing a track tomorrow at Brand's, what do people do for insurance?? I'm with Arian Flux and they don't offer it.

is this the open track evening if so wouldnt mind a run up to watch this done a couple of these, great nites not took the scooby round yet done them in my old focus rs will see you there mate ..

Just the morning for me, rained on 2nd run and I blew an intercooler pipe off on 3rd run. Got the better of a Evo8-MR which was nice. The new GTR was in a different league!!

A good mate of mine has just had delivery of his new GTR. He has read (in the small print) that if the car is taken on to any drag strip or race track in Europe his warranties become void as Nissan will know the car has been raced from the global positioning software in the car.

I wonder if the driver of the GTR is aware of that at Brands ?

Yep, i remeber seeing this in top gear mag when the nissan came out, They proved that its true.
Bugger owning one without a warantee :whistle:

The GTR's are limited to 112mph in Japan.

The cars ECU will self activate to 155mph when entering Europe.

Can I just say the Yoko's Parada's were amazing, when it rained they still felt great. They get a bad press sometimes and most cars are set up different. They hardly broke traction but then I was not pushing silly hard. My friend slowed down alot with he's Toyo R888's.

Yeah, that will be good Tony.
My life is normally pretty hectic and I miss out on some track days as I only learn of them afterwards !.

I will gladly join you on a Brands track day mate.

Interesting comment on your tyres as I was just about to buy a set of triple 888's ?

I know we are not meant to, but did you time any of your dry / wet laps ?

Yeah I know what you mean, still have not got round to any shows this year!!

It will be 3.30pm Gramps.

No lap times but I managed a 44 second lap on my Playstation in a Clio track car :D
