STI intercooler

Hey guys, me again lol

Would it make any difference to my 2006 WRX to replace the standard intercooler with an STI intercooler?

What are the pro's and con's please?

Thank you

xx

Your present top mount is good for around 320bhp..
So unless you are adding a bigger turbo or wanting more power than that I personally would save your money.

HI Stacey,

As mentioned - STi intercooler is an upgrade to your WRX one (its larger) so provides more cool air - but should be ample for the power you are looking for.

Ryan :ok:

Not sure what the Hawk WRX intercooler is good for as its a different size (wider?) than the bug/blob WRX.

But you wouldn't notice any difference with standard power, especially if the scoop/undertray aren't also changed (which pushes the price up!).

Save the cash and spend it on handling or brakes.... droplinks and rear ARB make a great improvement :)
