Am I correct that a replacement subaru top hose arrow goes towards the rad?
Think my son's was back to front and has had wear but it's a replacement one that we are now putting a stock on.

I think it does point back to the rad indeed, but Its been a few years since I have had a standard hose on, someone else could check for you (pretty sure it would fit either way up/round)

It's interesting my son's sti
top hose sprang a tiny hole so I replaced it with my origional wrx one and ordered a spare genuine one.
on taking off the one from his car last night (low loaded from Thorpe pk)it had a rubbing split from the fan.
but was fitted correctly with arrow facing rad
on removal and offered up to the new one the new one is around half an inch shorter meaning when fitted the hose is further away from the fan blade.
researched this on other forums and found it to be an issue which subaru had been aware of and without declaring it shortened the engine end of the top hose keeping the same part number.
will be fitting when the rain stops.

I've seen and heard of the top hose hitting the fans before. Maybe its not a problem when new, but worn engine mounts on an older car could allow sufficient engine movement to cause it to touch the fans?

Just looked at my blob and yes the arrows on the top hose point towards the rad.
