scotty 14-04-2016 06:00 PM

Was it doing it before you put the front mount and cone filter on?

Should be able to clean the ICV up with a bit of carb cleaner and a toothbrush.

scotty 14-04-2016 10:53 PM

Yes Shane im getting a feeling its the maf .

scotty 15-04-2016 01:30 AM

Well decided to do it the easy way and connect the black plugs together 3 fault codes 12,23 and 24 time to do some shopping fecking great .

scotty 15-04-2016 12:36 PM

Going to buy some carb cleaner try that as first protocall and go from there dont if it worth buying used maf or new or just go mafless on mapping day .

munk 15-04-2016 02:37 PM

hhuumm 23,24 knock and maf.. haunts me this:cry: its the same problem iv got ,a new maf fitted and went away for a few months but its back again. haha, mafless seems to be the only option, and for future plans...so new ecu for me..

scotty 15-04-2016 02:52 PM

23 is icv 24 is maf but get this my boost gauge was going up and down so i think ive got a air leak problem or maf is fecked so took boost gauge pipe off inlet problem gone interesting so stripping maf and spraying carb cleaner and leave it over night to see if that works .

munk 16-04-2016 08:44 AM

my bad...22,23 had a quick check again... still bloody haunting me either way.... i didnt have boost gauge issues thats for sure... any luck with the carb cleaner.....

scotty 16-04-2016 12:31 PM

Well that didnt work now what pipes do i need to check just took pipe from inlet to oem recirc valve hunting stopped put it back on started again so it must be a vac pipe some where but still going to do maf as unplugged that car still ran like a bag of nails lol .

When I had the maf issues on the wagon recently, the running improved when the maf was unplugged suggesting it was the maf according to Glenn at Carnetix, after changing the maf it then ran as it should.

Ok getting Maf sorted with a new one .
