MD321H or Blouch (sc42)

Hi guys, hope you're doing well.
So, among a few other upgrades I'm thinking of upgrading the turbo in the near future.
Do any of you guys run any of the above mentioned turbos which I've narrowed my choice down to or have any graphs for these?
Can't make my mind up atm and you're input will be appreciated.

Thanks
Con

Im in the same dilema but im looking at the MD321T version .

I'm running an MD series turbo (321x) these are made in the UK by Turbo Dynamics who are world leaders in turbocharging technology - Service of Blousch may not be as good although the write ups of the SC range do seem positive - however I know of far more cars running MD's!

Sorry for being demanding Chris, I really need to make mind up here lol, is there any chance you could give a reason why you'd say one is better than the other please, hoping I can get solid input by the guys on here. 😃

Out of the two it'll spoil as quickly as the h and produce more power and torque. If your looking further than those two I'd have a precision turbo from RCM which wipes the floor with both of them

Oh ok, thanks for your input, I've heard of precision turbos, as a couple guys I know use them on Supras but not seen them on scoobs yet. I'll look in to it. 👍

So, I've spoken to RCM, they only supply the one Precision turbo which is capable of low 500's, I must admit the figures on this turbo looks impressive, the printout was on a spec c and at 525hp it was putting out 460ftlb @ 4100rpm.

I was always led to believe to get the smallest turbo for your power target, has this now changed with the new billet, hybrid and ceramic turbos? Surely the principle is the same?
How will it affect spool for instance if I was running this turbo on a ej20 avcs at 450hp?

Its still the same principle:nod:,Decide what power you want to run and fit the turbo for the job. What peak bhp are you looking to achieve?and what supporting mods do you have fitted to your car already?.SJ.

I'd speak to Duncan as his your mapper , but from the ones I've seen being mapped at Charlie's they spool as quick as the other two . As for power , just because you have it doesn't mean you have to use it , plus give it a week and what ever you have your want more !

Hi, I'm looking at going low 400's as I'm mainly using the car on the road. Until the engine is built there's no point in aiming for anything above 450 max.
So think it's back between the sc42 and md321h.

SC42 is a nice spooling turbo and is what i would be spending my money on for 400+.SJ.
