Am after a decent wagon at the moment and this comes in my budget but what a journey it would be if it is not as described or something is wrong what do you all think any suggestions welcome.

A long way to go to spend £3k on a car that's done 108K Miles.

Looks very clean.

Worth travelling for the right car if it's what you want(drove to Scotland and back same day to buy my current one)

Just give the guy a call and have a good chat before travelling and make it clear that you have a long way to travel to view so please be honest

cheers guys,
Apparently he traded it with his warrior a month ago and now has to move 40 miles away from work and needs as everyone always says a diesel. he told me it is straight and the arches were done by a previous owner to a very high specification. the remap was done by a company called pole position.

decisions decisions. i have been looking for a while and there is nothing around here with the specification i am looking for, i just hope it is not a waste of my time.

They put a lot of salt on the roads in Scotland could be rough underneath other than that it looks well looked after

frazdogg 05-04-2017 08:22 AM

it is in penrith south of scotland but yeah could get some more pics of the under side.

asperformance 05-04-2017 08:42 AM

presuming his "warror" is/was an L200 pick-up they dont do much if any better mileage than a WRX........

C. J. 05-04-2017 08:42 AM

If you think that's far my parents bought there camper from Oregon United States and had the guy take over 200 pics before they flew out and inspected it and bought it !

Erm they do not put any salt on the roads up in scotland apart from in the winter months if it is needed .:cuckoo:

Ad seems honest, I would travel if I thought it was the right car but then it's not my cash . You could factor in your travel costs when negotiating on the price if you get that far then it's only cost you your time. Anyway good luck ,decisions, decisions. ......

Neil97rs 05-04-2017 12:52 PM

Same as above . For the right car it's worth the travel . Make a long weekend of it

bigemp 05-04-2017 01:24 PM

Its not that far really for the right car i had worked driving all night as well before i left for scotland ,come home for a quick shower and change after work then after getting back home with the car, slept for six hrs and then drove to wales to pick up a spec c interior(as the guy was going away)

But unfortunately for the right stuff travelling gotta be done

fingers crossed its all ok for you if you go to look/buy

yes but the winters up your way start earlier and last longer which mean more salt more of the time :cuckoo:

I'am no expert, but all looks clean and seems like the guy is being honest. Looks like a long drive coming up.

frazdogg 06-04-2017 10:33 AM

i have just got off the phone to pole position and it all checks out with the mapping of the car and the upgraded pink injectors. the previous owner brought it with the td05 and it needed mapping so pole position mapped it with the injectors and now it is running spot on according to their words.
Looks like a virgin train journey is on the cards. have offered a reasonable price taking my travel into consideration.

Frenchie 06-04-2017 07:58 PM

Good luck, hope it all works out.

frazdogg 07-04-2017 08:19 AM

Cheers @Frenchie my nephew is driving me up next Wednesday to go pick her up and bring her down south.
