Scuffed alloy wheel
My Wife has managed to put a 2" scruff mark on the edge of on of my alloy wheels. No, I have to be honest it was me. This is on my 2016 Sit. I think the wheel colour is gun metal metallic, but not sure how to confirm this? Also need to buy a little kit to repair, but once again no idea what to buy. Help please.

Oh no, that's one of my personal nightmares.
On LastHumansGarage's YouTube channel he did a minor scuff repair and got colour-matched paint from a company in HongKong, it seemed to do the job. This was the video he put up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_onDMoI6F8 there's a link to the site in the description. |
I did my new alloys on the Eurostar gangway lip / ridge on the M3 drivers side, return trip. Not bad but did the full rim on both alloys on the edge. I remember thinking what was that sound when I was driving off......

Thanks Fernando, so are our wheels gun metal grey?, and would you know the colour code. Looks like it's an order to Hong!

Hi Terry,
Can Subaru not help?. I ended up taking the car into Fairlight coachworks and asking them to make me up a pot of a paint to match. Not the cheapest way to do it (about £25 from memory) but it was spot on and lasted forever. After all, if you... sorry, Lorraine is going to keep driving into kerbs, it'll always be handy.:ok: Hope all is well. Steve |

Hi Steve, so your Wife scuffed your alloys too!!! Did Fairlight make you touch up paint in a Spray can? How did you carry out the repair? All good here, if you spent 3 months living here with our pristine roads and zero traffic you would never go back to Sussex.
