What to do ?

:shock::calm::sos: :boom: :sos:

Just filled up at my local Shell garage to be politely told "Have you heard we are closing for 5 to 6 week's for refurbishment ". OMG!

Question is 1- Stop using the wagon why they refit ?
2- Tell Liz :wife: I have to use her car and she can use public transport?
3- Or drive the extra 2.1 miles to the next shell garage?

Decisions, decisions .

Option 3 seems a safe bet .

Got any octane boost left from Germany? Or option 3

MIDLIFE 28-07-2017 07:24 AM

Is there a Tesco near you? I use their Momentum 99 some times and don't have any problems.:drive:

Simon-Sti 28-07-2017 07:25 AM

Option 3 for sure lol

Rdlangy1 28-07-2017 07:25 AM

I run on momentum 99 24/7 - mapped on it too

Only a 2.1 mile diversion, my nearest shell is 15 miles away.

4. Don't be an anal Subaru owner and just put branded 97 RON in it.

That's not a direct dig at you Steve but just a mild annoyance I have with how the Subaru community chase around the country looking for 99 RON.

A guy at work has been running a MY98 Prodrive WR on 95 RON for 15 years....i wouldn't advise it but it goes to show it's possible.

Thanks for the reply ' s :ok:

Didn't sleep well last night mulling over the options.

1- Now thinking, leave the wagon at home, get the bike out and lose some much needed weight which in turn benefits the power to weight ratio on the wagon :-D

2 - Never an option, I cannot afford a divorce! :wed:

3- Really the only option and I have to accept adding a few more miles is a consequence of not taking up 1 or 2

Scotty, how's the bike ride to work going?

Scott, no dig taken, reckon I go with the flow ba ba?

Shane, I suspect your journey for fuel is much nicer than mine given our locations.:drive:

Midlife and Ryan, now Tesco ' is an option, I could get Liz to do the food shopping whilst I fill up.

Hope you all have a great weekend unfortunately my next day off is Tuesday

This is the same for me Hastings is the arse end of the world so I would go option 3 another 2 miles is for the sure the best way to go.

But then if its not an import 99 +ron is not that much of a problem

Anger 28-07-2017 11:22 AM

I'm surrounded by Shell garages with 5 within a 10 minute drive

scotty 28-07-2017 11:34 AM

Aye its not bad but its a weird one I'm sure your'e meant to loose weight when cycling nope that's a mith .

BIG"E" 28-07-2017 11:51 AM

Option 3 Steve,

Me too, 3 within a few miles. Never had to even try momentum.
