k sports big brake kit
WOW.... I got k sports big brake kit 8 piston in 330mm with DS2500 pads/lines and race fluid for my 2007 WRX. After 8 years dealing with 4 pots with different types on pads and disks it was always lacking in the braking department and highlighted more when I upped the power. best money I have spent on the car :-D
|
They work well for the money, don't they :ok:
Quite a few of us have gone this route with the 356mm kit as the standard brakes aren't up to much - especially if tracking the car. |

The car is now set up for track but unsure about using it for track as I don't want to hurt her !! I have been looking at dedicated cheap track cars such as Type R/182/197 |
Are they smaller than the STI Brembo setup, wonder if they''l fit under 17" ST2s?
|
Really rate these brakes. I always had standard brakes and found them to be quite poor. Then I got the k sport and what a difference they made. Enjoy mTe

13 Trackdays later plus many road miles and mine also still works very well. 356mm 8pot 😊https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...50ddfdf434.jpg

Be wary of buying from Godspeed, had bits not fit for purpose from them as Brent from SMD will confirm.

we carry various pad options as well as supplying kits, etc. if required...........

Most of the godspeed stuff is repurposed pattern bmw X5 discs I believe :?:nono:

Which scoob you driving? I'm coming back to thinking about brakes again not that I've finally sorted coilovers and wondering my options.
Previously wanted ksports with 356m discs, but as I've swapped my tyres to semi-slicks on my 18'' alloys I want to keep my standard hawkeye WRX 17'' set on. I know they are pretty **** for clearance, but ksports are quite low-profile. Sent from my G8441 using Tapatalk |
I think The k sports are not bulky like a a brembo sti caliper so wheel fitment is better.
|
I went with the 330mm kit as wanted to keep the 17's on my hawk

It's worth sticking to 18" to get the bigger ones ;) |

The 888's are for trackdays only! Sent from my G8441 using Tapatalk |
i had to move one of Wrx's off the drive in the slightest of snow one year to get in the garage, never got the car back on the drive for 24hrs.
|
the only i,ve found with the bigger brakes, is its much easier to trip the standard abs --more brake than tyre contact on 225 tyres
|
if your rears aren't working correctly (or "matched" to the uprated fronts) then you can get a brake imbalance that may well trigger the ABS more easily...........or you have used a very 'snatchy' pad material.......
