Handbrake light

On my drive home this morning, the scoobs handbake light didnt go out. Kept checking to make sure the brake was fully released. Felt normal to drive, so i dont think the brake is stuck on at all

Any idea why it's staying on?

Thanks

The light is activated by a switch under the handbrake, the light has no connection with wether the brakes are actually on or off as it were.
Check the conectors are fully on, you can just connect the conectors together to see if its a faulty switch.

I had the same, so removed the brake reservoir filler cap and put fingers in and pressed the sensor a few times inside and it went off, sorted it. Common fault as a lot of them do it.

Think it is down to the colder weather, drove my old classic with the light on most of last winter. Was told it was a sticky switch, would normally go off when day warmed up:D

as mentioned above take the top off the brake fluid resovoir and give the float a poke. They get stuck.

It's doing it again now

Seems to be when it's frosty outside
