Mine was the same a last year which was £5 less then the year before.
I havn't bothered shopping around since going with Gary.

£60 per day ring insurance too.

If anybody is interested my policy is :

38 Years Old
Full No Claims
Clean Licence
MY00 UK Impreza
Garaged
Hastings Area (not the best)
All Mods declared (currently 335BHP)

£495

I don't think you can beat that for price or peace of mind.

Confused.com is good for a laugh...
declined to quote...
declaine to quote...
declined to quote...

and that was after filling in their 'Modifications Form' which only allows upto 12 mods, so had to lie about a few....

SpecB 28-01-2010 07:00 AM

Always speak to Gary direct - although it wasn't him who changed my number plate on the policy but didn't want to waste his time!

What are the chances of a group ring discount? ;)

Mortster 28-01-2010 07:13 AM

Sorted now, great price too. And allowed up to mods up to 400bhp :-D

Thanks Gary.

Steve_PPP 28-01-2010 09:04 AM

spoke to Gary yesterday to arrange cover on a courtesy car whilst mines in at Gatwick, he gave me a few days cover for no charge, top geezer

Previous insurance companies have charged me for the cover and then added an admin fee!

worzel 28-01-2010 09:23 AM

Spoke to.... you lucky man!

He is so popular it's untrue, it's not always that easy to get through to him. I have ended up e-mailing him with reference to my windscreen this morning.

Steve_PPP 28-01-2010 11:53 AM

phoned up just after 4pm yesterday afternoon, got through first time

worzel 28-01-2010 12:10 PM

£870
I am 25
6 years no claims
and i live in mitcham, aka scum of Surrey..
This is with breakdown cover too...

Amazing quote, nice and quick too... Gary is a top bloke...

darryl.k 25-05-2010 11:05 PM

I do it slightly different,

Classic WRX
32 years young
Full no claims
Clean licence
Garaged
Certified alarm
Brighton area
£21 a month and then take it off the road and cancel the policy at winter so it costs me approx £150 a year. Then renew the policy come summer.

Darryl.k

worzel 25-05-2010 11:35 PM

Now thats the way to do it Darryl

Good to see Gary doing the business yet again :10:

Rusabu 27-05-2010 01:12 AM

Did me proud just last week! Saved me nearly £400 on renewal! :yeah:

666subaru 27-05-2010 02:09 AM

Big thanks to Gary for sorting our insurance out for the wagon, saved us a massive £390:thanx::ok:, bloody A-plan rip off merchants increased our insurance from £590 to £890 in one year, whats that all about:rant:

Chunk 28-05-2010 12:36 PM

Just sorted Emma's scoob insurance & on my 190E, bargains yet again.

The 190 is now £126 fully comp

Greig 25-07-2010 09:56 PM

Thanks to Gary for sorting my insurance
on the scoob for me
:ok:

andy-m 14-09-2010 12:29 PM

Thanks to Gary for sorting my insurance.

I saved £750 compared to what my existing insurer wanted for the renewal !!!!

Steve_PPP 14-09-2010 12:37 PM

he's a good fella eh :ok:

Currently got 3 cars insured with him!

MIDLIFE 14-09-2010 02:09 PM

My insurance went up by 25 % this year? Aplan still beat garys quote
but does anyone know the reason for this increase. Thanks Paul.

Chunk 14-09-2010 04:46 PM

Got my 3 cars and van with Gary

I once phoned A-Plan for a quote just to see how much Gary saves me, they never called me back. Wonder why?

Bull 15-10-2010 11:42 AM

just renewed with gary £350 fully comp...this man cannot be beaten...

mikey2 15-10-2010 12:49 PM

frustratingly i couldnt get hold of him when i needed to get it sorted, i spoke to the insurance factory, who surprisingly, beat Keith Michaels quote, only by 15 quid, but 15 quid is hard to come by these days for me!!! 585 f/c!
I dont know how everyone is getting such cheap quotes, i am 31 with 7yrs ncb, parked off road, good area, cat 1 and all that! everyone else was quoting me near on 1k, bar a couple at 650 680 etc.

mikey2 15-10-2010 12:53 PM

Having spoken to a couple of people, the main reason for the increase is because a lot more poeple are making personal injury claims, even for minor shunts, thats what is costing insurance companies so much money.
If people were a little more honest, and not so money grabbing, then it would still be reasonable to get insured! not to mention the uninsured people.

i paid 520 for my white scoob, my99, 310/290, all mods declared, parked on the road, 2 years on i am paying 70 quid more for a lesser spec parked on the drive!!
i also have no points, no fines, nothing on license, but 1 claim that was non fault 2 years ago, wasnt claimed on my policy.

Lucky 10-12-2010 05:12 PM

Big thanks to Gary, just saved me £100 on renewal compared to A Plan. Thanks mate

Has yours gone up 25% this year? I am still with A-plan as they were still cheaper than price Gary could give me.:sadnod:

I have been with aplan for the last few years, but this year Gary is £100 cheaper. Aplan last year I paid £511. This year they wanted £680. Gary did £575 and also placed me with a company that I can get cheap track cover.

chris wrx 17-02-2011 07:16 PM

scoobycoops 17-02-2011 08:37 PM

It's when people leave replies like that, that people dont want to help others out.

I'm sure a message saying... "Gary, I need a quote, could you contact me on ......... asap please. Please don't make me call A Plan. Thanks" would work better

scoobycoops 18-02-2011 05:00 PM

I think after more the 5 or 6 phone calls and +10 emails without a reply, I can leave whatever kind of post I like - I don't have to worry if he feels like helping me or not - coz he ain't helping me either way, is he?

Anger 18-02-2011 06:32 PM

The most ive ever rang Gary is twice without getting through to him... got to remember he insures nearly all of Scabbynet aswell, so can be very busy

scoobycoops 18-02-2011 06:54 PM

I'm sure he is busy. Much busier than anyone else. Me included!
But is it to much to ask for a little existing customer love?
I'm not complaining about the price and product but.... Just a teeny bit of phone love!
I mean cooooome on - I'm lonely and have no one else and I miss him so...
Pleeeeez Gazza, call me, my number's 555.....

Just a bit!!!

Been struggling with a trapped nerve in my shoulder/neck, so am doing everything in slow motion at the moment

Am off to the Chiropractor AGAIN tomorrow to try to get it sorted before the weekend, as i'm supposed to be doing a track day at Brands Hatch.

Might need someone to drive the car for me if it's not better by then!!!!

Chunk 23-02-2011 08:46 AM

Moley_WRX 23-02-2011 08:34 PM

Shoulder is getting better.... just the small matter of a wisdom tooth removal 2 days before now. Hmmmm.

RobEvo5 24-02-2011 03:23 PM

chrisp 10-05-2011 04:25 PM

Insuring both of my cars now, not had any problems getting through and good prices, very close to the other quote I got for my focus but went regardless due to the fact i'd rather put both cars through KM due to the service

555_Si 23-02-2013 07:44 AM
