FMIC...which one?

Okay, thinking in my plans is for a fmic but there seems to be many variants of size and expecially price!
autobahn 88 do a cheap one
Hyperflow an expensive one
APS do expensive and two different sizes?
AMS do another, forge do another etc etc

what do I go for? 420 horses is m y ultimate aim (at the moment)

was it easy to fit Brad? Why is there such a variation in price?

you get what you pay for have fitted 6 fmic now including Autobahn , Hybrid and a couple of different ones of ebay and with the hybrid you get better clips and hoses and easier to fit to

I have an autobahn fitted, easy to fit, ask CJ he fits them in a day no problem.
They are not expensive and i think a not bad quality at all.
The more you pay the better the quality of the materials used and of course the weld.

Do you really need a FMIC for that power, 450 to 500 appears achievable on the std STI TMIC?

worzel 30-10-2009 11:11 AM

They say that the STi TMIC should max out at around 400, but some for some reason do go to 450+.

Look at Dyney for example, he is still on the WRX top mount and getting 400+. :drive:

Litchfield Type 25s run 450 on STI TMIC IIRC.

so does andy forrest but I also prefer the look and i want an oil cooler to go where the tmic goes. I have seen one on Surrey scoobies and it looks the nuts!
Thanks for the info on the autobahn....that could save me about £800!

Cj....you could earn yourself a couple of quid to fit?!

I've got an Autpbahn front mount. They are pretty good, but had to have this done a few months ago

17 inch crack had to be alloy welded
