Got myself a scoob again.

Picked it up this morning, and chuffed to bits. Its probably.... No it is the worst example I have had :D but still loving it.! Its been a while since I have driven one and forgot how planted and capable they are. Had a great blast back from Tenterten in it.

Having come from a bone crushing, rattly, skippy, and gutess MX5. The Scoob is soooooooo nice and feels like I am at home again.

Its a 1998 UK wagon, bog standard even has the Pee shooter exhaust, Green, scuffed 17" gold prodrive alloys, front and rear bumper could do with a re-paint and trip to dent majician wouldn't go a miss. Its covered a whopping 150Kmiles but drives sweet as a nut no smoke rattles or knocks. But this is a daily hack for me, so quite happy to treat it for what it is.

I must resist lookin the classifieds to see what bits I can bolt on. This is one to drive till it drops.!

Only plans for it is to self service it and treat it to new oils and filters, and I have newage STI box in my loft so will be bolting that on, and perhaps a centre decat and panel filter.

So what do you fancy getting next week then?

Welcome back matey, the flat 4 draw is too much to resist. :10:

Cheers guys, its good to be back in the fold. And can see me tinkering a bit, but more on sensible things like general servicing stuff and I might possible play at painting the bumpers myself when the weather turns for the better. I can barely hear the flat 4 with the stock exhaust so a centre decat and STI rear box is a must to release a few ponies and get the sound without being too much.

If a second hand apexi comes onto the market, I could be tempted to drop one in and ask Scott to squeeze what he can out of the 'old work horse'.

lol - with 150K miles it might only last 1 tank of petrol before it goes pop. But if it sees me through the winter I will be happy, anything beyond is a bonus. In the meantime I can decide what I do with the TVR and it might make my mind up as to whether I get a Hawkeye STI at some point or not.
