Very slowly LOL, went to cheam motors the other day to order the left side rocker cover gasket, inlet manifold gaskets and the rubber o-ring seals for in the middle of the block. The conrods are also on the crank so thats ready to go. I also measured the gaps between the cam lobes and tappets and hopefully figure out correct sizes, it does get a little confusing. Are these the correct gaps 0.20 for the Inlet and 0.25 for the exhaust... Because i noticed that on the info i have it says that upto 98 they are self adjusting (hydrolic) and they don't look like they are...

Its all scary stuff, i just hope it works at the end.... :-|

LOL at turbo, hmm...... how did the engine fail in the end..... could it of ingested bits of turbo ??

What boost where you running to cause that damage ?

will check valve clearances in the morning, would be worth checking the clearances once the heads are torqued down. what heads are you using?

also would be worth checking/cleaning out the I.C and pipe work just incase theres any crap from the turbo in them.

I am using the standard heads and i have torqued up the cam caps, changed the valve stem oil seals and lapped in the valves. Most of the I.C pipes are already off but i will check them and clean the again.

Cheers for that Jaffa
