Brake Judder

The car has started to judder when braking, is this the sign of warped disks??
Only does it on a fairly long brake, ie comming off the M roads down a slip road.

have you got split bells and rotors? Worth seperating and enduring there is not build up of deposits between the bell and rotor... worth getting it all off and giving a good clean and retesting before determining warped discs.

Could well be a warped disc. Done any track days lately??

WRX_Paul 27-04-2010 01:05 PM

Sounds like a warped disk, but check the other bits first.

can you feel it through the steering wheel? or just the pedal? if yes, probably warped fronts.

Mortster 27-04-2010 07:47 PM

Just the steering wheel, but not all the time. Is a bit wierd. Ive got new pad on the way from Tim, so I'll be what happens with a pad change.

possible warped discs or maby youve lost a weight off a wheel

Mortster 27-04-2010 08:05 PM

Hmmm, it does still pull to the left even after having a full GEO set up done, I'll get that checked.

Spooky 27-04-2010 10:41 PM

If you lost a weight off the wheel it would judder at speed, not under breaking.
