My new BEAST

Well, the Scooby went last friday and i have been looking for something to drive while i save for the Blobeye, I found a great car, its a 2002 Golf GT TDI PD 130 Highline, 130 bhp with 228 lbs of torque!! (I will get it chipped to 180 bhp and 300 lbs torque for £275!!!)
Its got heated seats, cruise control, 6 speed etc and it is superb, i have done 192 miles so far and it has only used just over 1/4 of a tank, the computer is reading 61.4 mpg on the motorway!!!
It is fun and quite quick, £125 per year car tax and under £300 for insurance. Its got FULL VW service history and recent cambelt, and only 41,900 miles from new, 1 owner, and it is mint!!

Spot on mate. :five:

You can't beat a Golf, they are top bits of kit

Very nice matey. My mrs had one of these a couple of years back and they are a really nice car. As you say, fairly punchy with good MPG. Should hold its money as a 'stop gap' for you too. Hope you dont get tempted away from scoobydom tho!!

I do really like the Golf but nothing can replace Scoobies!

Great choice for a well built nippy car mate.
You wont lose money either.

Very nice indeed - must admit I am quite tempted by the new Scirocco at the moment!

good inbetween car mate they pull really well and are great on fuel, not really my cup of tea though but as said before it should hold its value and sell easily

Welcome to German ownership

Good looking Goof

Very punchy and nippy/quick cars even in standard form. Remapped and it becomes a quick car, and bullet proof and should still return and average of 50mpg... If we didn't need 7 seats, I would change our family Zafira GSI for one of these.

Good on you Paul, good choice of car, we are thinking diesel too for a run around in august

AndyWRX 15-06-2010 06:52 PM

Excellent colour too

Sounds good economy wise, can you still give the legendry black smoke when you boot it?
