Still miss my Saph cossie 4x4 :(

That was a good one.

Yep me to James, I had 2wd in 1992, was fantastic at the time. My mate had one at same time, his dad brought it from him to keep it in family and still has it. To be honest out the 3 on top gear I would have a mint merc 190 cossie, always wanted one

I had the original M3. It would not live with the Cossie in a straight line but would out handle it all day long. My choice out of the three would be the Cosworth. If the original M3 had been there it would have been that. I thought it a little unfair using a more modern M3 but as they said the original are now very pricey. :drive:

Nige
The original M30 would be my choice as well, stunning car and would piss all over the others on track.

i was speaking to someone i know who has an original m3, he's looking to sell it and the valuation came to £25k.

The 190 is one off a forum i'm on. He was going to break it, due to knackered engine, but Top Gear offered him the money & free tickets to the show.

Would have been better if they spend the full £5000 on a 190 Cossie, coz a good one is aboud £6000. It was only the 2.3 not the 2.5 beast

I didn't see the show. I will have to go on iplayer later

was a really good episode, dont think it was very fair though using a knackerd 190 against the rest because the 190 cosworth really is a good car, but saying that the saph didnt look too good either

it must be one of the special editions then...evo 1/2/cecotto/ravaglia/evolution as the boggo standard ones are still as low as 10-12k.

I've had three of them....would be back in my car collection if i had a garage to pamper it with!

Bit late on this one, but I think that feature is the best thing they've done this series (thusfar anyway). I was amazed they got the cars for the money they did, I appreciate that none of the three were in mint condition, but I really didn't think classic Cossies could be picked up for less then £5K!
