There's a guy in scoobynet called TingTongPJ (i think  ) and he's done loads for people - pretty sure he's now running a business flocking car parts.

Might be worth a message to him :)

Isn't a business 'Flocking Car Parts' a chinese registered car spares company. Maybe TingTong is the owner.

His work seems very good from what I've seen. There is also a company call Suffolk flocking services that I used, but IMO use TingTong since the dash I got done didn't come back perfect but does the job - luckily I'm not a concours type but if you are you'd have sent it back.

A friend of mine from the MLR does this now and can pretty much do anything Wheels, bodywork, interior etc so if you need his number let me know. Hes pretty good at it i tell thee. Based in Littlehampton as well. Usually charges between £120 & £150 for a dash depending on colour if i remember rightly.

I don't mean to be negative, but i don't get it? Why would you want a hairy dash, it looks crap (IMHO) what next, thick underlay for the cars carpets?

Its anti-glare. If the classic dashes are anything like the newage, the amount of reflection/glare you get off them in low sunlight is awful.

I'm tempted myself, as i drive to work facing the sunrise (east) and drive home facing sunset (west) - half the time i can't see where i'm going

Seems to be a market for it, but I agree with you and must be hard to keep clean. Personally I prefer mine a little less hairy.

I might start selling Brazilian dashes......

Justin 12-08-2010 02:20 PM

Glare is a thing of the past with a flocked dash. WRC cars don't do bling

scooby999 12-08-2010 07:35 PM

Need mine done to freshen up the dash and so i can see where i am going

Justin 12-08-2010 09:33 PM

You've probably considered this anyway but just in case... the way i did it was to buy a horrendously faded dash off ebay for £10 and send it off to get flocked, then you can swap the dashes over at a convenient time to save your car being off the road for a while if you rip your dash out and then send it away to be flocked...

Also tingtong does a service where he sells you a flocked dash rather than flocking a dash you provide - well he used to, its worth having a chat to see if that is an option.

C. J. 12-08-2010 09:41 PM

he had some for sale delivered for about £100
