wonky wipers!

All the rain today has made me realise quite how annoying the movement i've got in my wipers is.

With the wipers turned off, i can move the arms about 4 inches up the screen, just because of slackness in the mechanism. In the rain today, the drivers side wiper is so flappy that it hits the scuttle cover at the bottom of the screen, AND the side trim at the top of the sweep!

Taken the wiper arms and scuttle off when i got home from work and it seems that this bit is at fault:

Theres a lot of movement in the joint where the white plastic bush thingy is. I've also noticed theres another white bush underneath the motor where the arm meets the motor and that might be a bit loose too.

So, question is.... what are these little white plastic bits called? And can they be replaced easily, or do i need a whole new linkage??

Your'll probably find you can only get it as a complete linkage......maybe wrong though!!!

Yep, you were right :ok:

Picked up a linkage and motor from Jap Performance Parts this evening, and its now all fitted and working like it should do :D

So i've got a spare motor now if anyone ever needs one!

Would also like to say cheers to Nathan at Hammonds Group for doing his best on a quote for a new one
